Typical Failures

Vehicular Fatigue Loading in traditional connections causes moving and leaking joints, leading to increased weakness and failure.

Our Solution

The DTFC connection is engineered for cyclic loading and retrofit installation, solving the chronic fatigue-related failures of traditional double-tee connections. Designed by industry experts, it provides a durable, practical solution for upgrading existing precast concrete parking structures.

FAQ's

Yes, the connection was originally developed for the replacement of connections in existing structures. The inherent flexibility transverse to the joint allows all connections between shear walls to be abandoned and replaced without fear of overloading the connections during contraction of the deck in winter months.
The connection has successfully been in use for over ten years.
The connection is installed with simple common post installed anchors and techniques. The design includes a small erection bolt to hold the connection in place while post-installed anchors are installed, facilitating construction and easing worker fatigue.
In general, any anchor suitable for seismic loading can be used. However, specific anchors from certain manufacturers allow higher design values and thus allow higher seismic shear loads.
